Cleveland coach's fury after losing at home
Cleveland Cavaliers manager J.B. Bickerstaff, who lost two consecutive games at home, expressed regret over the referee's decision.
Bickerstaff looked back on the game in an interview after losing Game 4 of the conference semifinals 102-109 against the Boston Celtics at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, Ohio on the 14th.
"Our players gave everything. They showed a high level of performance. I'm really proud of them," he said, encouraging them to fight well despite losses.
Cleveland Indians performed well even without Jarrett Allen and Donovan Mitchell. They trailed by 13 points in the second quarter, but successfully turned the game around in the third quarter. However, they lost the game after losing the lead.
"The opponents are really good players. They created shooting opportunities even in difficult situations and managed to succeed. I think our players blocked them well," Bickerstaff said, acknowledging the gap with the opponent team.
"To be honest, I was very disappointed with the way the whistle blew today. I think our players deserved better when attacking in the paint zone today," he said, expressing regret over refereeing decisions.
While Cleveland had just seven free throws, it allowed 24 free throws. Naturally, the referee must think there is a problem with the referee's decision.
He opened his mouth about the referee's decision and continued his remarks as if determined.
"I'm not asking us to look better. I want a fair judgment. But I don't think we got a fair chance today from that point of view."
"I don't know because I haven't been in the referees' heads, but what I'm freezing is that my opponent didn't commit any fouls until the end of the fourth quarter. Our players kept attacking, trying to break through. I'll have to watch the video again, but it didn't look balanced to me."
It could have been a better game if Mitchell, who averaged 29.6 points in this playoff, had played.
Regarding Mitchell, who was confirmed absent ahead of the start of the game, Bickerstaff said, "I need to see the condition every day." 슬롯사이트 추천
"We have a belief that we can do it. I think our players have seen this belief and know it. I knew we had to go out and do our best, and we kept challenging ourselves to do so. I couldn't be more proud of the effort we put in today. I just fell a little short at the end," he said before leaving the press conference.
